Andrew Coleman joined the VBC staff in May of 2007, where he met and later married his wife Kaitlyn. Andrew is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and holds a degree in Business Management concentrating in Human Resources. He has held positions in Youth Ministry and Children’s Ministry and currently serves as Associate Pastor at VBC. He loves leading teams within the church to fulfill kingdom work and to reach the lost in Mt. Juliet. Andrew also has a heart for missions, and has been to Europe, South America, and Canada with teams.
Kylene Jones- Mother's Day Out Director
Kylene is from Mt. Juliet, TN and graduated from Nashville State Tech with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Accounting. Kylene has been married to Brendan Jones for 19 years and has two beautiful girls, Madyson and Shelby.
Kylene has a love for teaching children and feels that God has called her to this position to minister to the families, children and teachers in this community.
Jim Murray is originally from Michigan but has been in Tennessee since 1966 when he joined the Imperials. After 20 years as the first tenor for the Imperials, he joined The Gaither Vocal Band from 1988 to 1992. Jim has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has received 14 Dove awards and 5 Grammy Awards over his career.
He recently (2014) lost his sweet wife, Lorretta, just one month short of 50 years of marriage. Jim has two grown sons, Chris who lives with him and Brent. Also, Jim has three granddaughters, Carolina, Cassidy and Addison along with his golden retriever, Daisy.
Dr. Chuck Groover is a native of Palmetto, Florida but has lived in middle Tennessee since 1993. Brother Chuck is a graduate of Stetson University, DeLand, Florida (BA in History and Secondary Education); the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky (Master of Divinity); and Union University, Jackson, Tennessee (Doctor of Ministry). Since 1976, he has served with churches in Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Brother Chuck is an active participant with the Wilson County Baptist Association and the Tennessee Baptist Convention, where he has been privileged to serve as President of the convention’s Executive Board. He is also active in the Mt. Juliet community where he has served as a member of the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President of the Mt. Juliet Rotary Breakfast Club, and is an active member of the Mt. Juliet Ministerial Alliance. Before assuming his full-time position as pastor at Victory Baptist, Brother Chuck served as a bi-vocational pastor and teacher at Mt. Juliet High School. Brother Chuck and his wife, Syble, have two adult children—son, Jamie, and daughter, Kelley.
Kyle is from Gallatin, Tennessee. Kyle is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Multi-media digital design and he is currently studying for a masters in Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary. Kyle had amazing opportunities to serve God as a missionary, a youth pastor, and a teacher role in Tennessee, California, and Kentucky for the past 10 years.
Kyle has been an active participant with Christmas4Kids organization for 8 years. They help needy children go shopping. Kyle loves to hike, cook, do photography, and read books.
Mike Massaro was born in California but considers himself a New Orleans native since he has lived there majority of his life. Mike is married to his beautiful bride and teammate in ministry, Heather, and has two amazing kids named Hudson and Selah. Mike is a graduate of Leavell College and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry and his Master’s degree in Missiology (basically, a fancy word for the study of missions).
Mike was called to the ministry while in high school and has worked in a variety of ministry settings over the past 12 years. He has a calling and passion for student ministry and missions. Mike’s desire is that students will become life-long followers of Jesus Christ, who are equipped with a biblical foundation and worldview so that they may develop a heart for the nations and continue to spread the Gospel.
